The Toll Road business first opened it's doors over 40 years ago back in 1964. The business was started and operated by Robin Brittain fondly known in the industry as 'Red'. Red succeeded in growing the Toll Road Truck empire covering the entire New England territory. In it's prime, Toll Road even had a production plant in Pennsylvania. The company has operated under various aliases in the past such as 'Toll Road Truck Equipment' and 'Toll Road Body & Equipment'.

Over a number of years the company was downscaled and in January 2008, Red decided to retire. He sold the business to Scott Burgess, a successful businessman in his own right. Scott created and has operated the business ATL Construction Inc for over 30 years. His vision is to take Toll Road Truck & Trailer beyond it's previous prestigious status it enjoyed in it's hey day. Scott has employed a professional dedicated team to ensure that this goal is attained. His motto is 'to be successful, you need to surround yourself with successful people'.
